To be honest, I haven't been a huge fan of Halloween since I was a kid. I know, *gasp*. Call me crazy, but going to college parties where girls tried to see just how little clothing they could get away with and claim it was a costume just wasn't my idea of a good time. Plus, this was happening in Minnesota so I was all like, "ummm that seems cold". Now I'm not saying I didn't play along and go out anyways, I'm just saying it definitely wasn't my favorite holiday.
I'm happy to share though that a new decade has brought a new viewpoint! I'm back on the Halloween train because my Octobers consist of parties with no costume required or clever (and warm) costumes optional. I get to stay home and hand out candy to a neighborhood full of adorably dressed kiddos and celebrate the season with the excitement that only young nephews and a new baby girl can incite.
